Meet Us at ISPOR EU 2025

We had a great time at ISPOR EU. For those unfamiliar, the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) is one of the leading gatherings for professionals in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR). Each year, it brings together researchers, healthcare leaders, and decision-makers to exchange knowledge that advances value-based healthcare in the US and EU regions. The EU 2025 conference in Glasgow explored the theme “Powering Value and Access Through Patient-Centered Collaboration,” and the focus of the event highlighted the importance of strengthening connections between patients, providers, regulators, payers, and industry in order to improve decision-making around healthcare value and access.

Why It Matters

Healthcare systems are facing an ever-growing ecosystem of rising costs, regulatory changes, and rapid innovation, and building stronger partnerships is essential to staying ahead. Effective collaboration ensures that patient needs remain central while making healthcare more sustainable and equitable. We aim to contribute to this mission through technology that accelerates the systematic review process. By enabling researchers to complete reviews more efficiently, our software supports timely, evidence-based decisions that ultimately enhance access and outcomes for patients.

Our Contribution

We are proud to share that two of our posters have been accepted for presentation at ISPOR Europe 2025. These will be featured in Poster Session 4 and Poster Session 5. You can view them below.

Poster Session 4:

Measuring the Elephant in the Room: Quantifying Legal Barriers to AI Processing of Full-Text in Systematic Reviews

While AI shows promise in speeding up full-text screening and data extraction for systematic reviews, legal restrictions on article licences remain a major obstacle. This study examined nearly 3,800 articles from Roche reviews to determine how many could be legally processed by AI.

Poster Session 5:

Turning the Tables: AI Halves Table Extraction Time in HEOR Systematic Reviews

Systematic reviews in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) often require extensive manual effort to extract tabular data, slowing the production of evidence needed for reimbursement and policy decisions. This study compared traditional manual extraction in Excel with an AI-assisted workflow using Laser AI.
